|Mardi Gras Mah Jongg for 50 Plus planned for Feb. 13 in Roeland Park|
“Laissez les bon temps roulez!” Let the good times roll at a Mardi Gras marathon of Mah Jongg being planned by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
This special event is called Mardi Gras Mah Jongg, and will take place on Feb. 13 at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood Dr., Roeland Park. Bring your friends, favorite foursome, or meet new players and enter to win prizes. We’ll keep you energized this Fat Tuesday with coffee, snacks, lunch, and dessert. To find this program in the My JCPRD Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 plus and then under special events. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword “games.”
The fun begins at 9:30 a.m. The cost for this six-hour program is $13 per person for Johnson County residents or $14 per person for nonresidents. Please register for the Mardi Gras Mah Jongg Party before Feb. 8. For more information or to sign up, call (913) 831-3359 or register online at jcprd.com.
While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call the 50 Plus Department at (913) 826-3030 for space availability.
Printed copies of the My JCPRD Activities catalog are available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
