|Join the new Senior Arts Council beginning Jan. 29|
Start of an artistic year by joining a new group of fellow artists and enthusiasts being launched by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
This program is called the Senior Arts Council. Monthly meetings planned throughout the year will include presentations by a featured artist, workshops, or a demonstration. An invitation for membership is extended for those 55 and older; visitors welcome. Members have the opportunity to display and sell their works at various exhibits.
To find this program in the My JCPRD Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 Plus and then under fine & performing arts. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords “art council.”
The first meeting of the Senior Arts Council will take place beginning at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood Dr., Roeland Park. An annual fee of $25, which is payable at the door, includes 12 two-hour monthly meetings, which will take place on the last Monday of each month. Please call Bryce Moore at (913) 642-1447 for more information.
The My JCPRD Activities catalog is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
