|50 Plus plans Lunch & Learn program at the Johnson County Museum on Nov. 8|
Pack a lunch and get ready to dig deeper into our community’s history during a Lunch & Learn program being planned at the Johnson County Museum in early November.
Participants will help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the museum with Museum Director Mindi Love, who is also the author of “Johnson County, Kansas: A Pictorial History, 1825-2005.” Love will share stories of the museum’s journey over the last 50 years. Be prepared to share your own stories too! We provide bottled water and dessert, but please bring a sack lunch. If you wish to view the museum exhibits, admission may be purchased at the front desk upon arrival.
To find this program in the My JCPRD Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 Plus and then under enrichment & special interests. In the printed catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords “Lunch & Learn.”
The cost for one two-hour program is $4 per person for adults, and museum members receive a 20 percent discount, but must register by phone by calling (913) 831-3359 to receive their discount. For more information or to register by phone, call (913) 831-3359. To register online, visit the District’s website at www.jcprd.com, click on Activity Registration in the upper left part of the screen and perform a barcode search for 40501.
The Johnson County Museum is a department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District. The My JCPRD Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
