Experience an oral and visual presentation on the history of Dixieland music, performed by a live band, during an early November special event being planned for all ages by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
Back by popular demand, this program is called The History of Dixieland Music. The KC Dixieland Band will interact with the audience to provide an oral and visual presentation on the history of Dixieland music, performed by the entire band, live! Along the way, many famous tunes of the era, several influential composers of the period, and dominant performers will be highlighted. This promises to be an informative and entertaining experience. All ages are welcome, and light refreshments will be served. Register in advance to save your spot!

The History of Dixieland Music will take place beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood Dr., Roeland Park.
