|Travel to southeast Missouri during 50 Plus Day Trip on Oct. 27|
Travel down Old Highway 71 to visit the W. F. Norman Corporation in Nevada, Mo., and tour a turn-of-the-century factory during an late October day trip being offered by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
The W. F. Norman Corporation is known for their gorgeous tin ceilings and still operate some of the same machinery from the company original opening in 1898. After lunch, the group will continue to Carthage, Mo. to explore the Precious Moments Chapel. The chapel was built as a gift of thanks to God and has 30 unique stained glass windows and many beautiful wall and ceiling murals.

This trip will leave at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, from Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch, Merriam, and return at approximately 6 p.m. that day. While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend.
