|Summer Sunflower Bingo event for 50 Plus is Aug. 23 in Antioch Park|
Celebrate the Kansas state flower with 12 games of bingo and lunch in the park during a special event being planned in late August by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
The program is called Summer Sunflower Bingo and will take place on Aug. 23 in Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch, Merriam. Grilled burgers, chips, juicy watermelon, dessert, and refreshing lemonade will be served. This event will take place under Shelter #4 on the north side of the lake. Bingo winners will be awarded prizes ranging from gift bags to gift certificates with a special blackout prize. While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend.
