|Nelson-Atkins Museum is next destination for 50 Plus social walk on Jan. 18|
Come in from the cold and walk in the warmth and beauty of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art during a specially-priced mid-January social walk being planned by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
This Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art Social Walk will let participants explore one of the finest art museums in the country! Lunch will be in the museum’s Rozzelle Court restuarant, with costs on your own. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 Plus and then under nature & outdoors. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords "social walk.”
This social outing will depart from Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch, Merriam, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18. The cost for this five-hour outing, including transportation to the museum, is $11 per person for Johnson County residents or $12 for nonresidents. While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend.
