Tellabration 2016 Set for Nov. 19 At Ernie Miller Nature Center
POSTED: 10/19/2016
Want to hear a good story? Come celebrate the International Day of Storytelling at the Johnson County Park & Recreation District's Ernie Miller Nature Center in Olathe. This year's event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 19. The cost for this one-hour event is $3 per person, including adults.

Beginning at 10:30 a.m., participants can hear stories with live animals. The stories will combine the themes of environmental awareness and ancient myths that will delight, entertain, and involve audiences of all ages. Live animals will be on hand as the stories are being told. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under fun for all and then under special events. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword “storytelling.”

The cost is $3 per person, including adults. To reserve your spot, call the nature center at (913) 764-7759. The Ernie Miller Nature Center is located at 909 N. Kansas-7 Highway, Olathe.

This program is also eligible for credit in the Social dimension for the JCPRD U holistic wellness program for participants ages three to 18. Participants can complete Achievement Classes (similar to academic grade levels) and earn Achievement Badges and awards. To register for JCPRD U, call (913) 826-2950.

Advance reservations are preferred, but not required for this program. For more information, contact the Nature Center at (913) 764-7759.
