|50 Plus plans Adventure Walk at Burr Oak Woods on Nov. 16|
Trails near the Burr Oak Woods Nature Center in Blue Springs, Mo., are the next Adventure Walk destination for the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
Participants can take in the sights with views of Burr Oaks Creek and scenic limestone exposures. Rated as requiring an easy level of exertion, this walk is ideal for all ability levels. Burr Oaks features both paved and gravel or wood chipped trails. Lunch will take place at Sinclair’s Restaurant in Blue Springs following our walk. Lunch costs are on your own.

This program will depart at 9 a.m. from Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch, Merriam. The cost for this nine-hour outing, including van transportation to the walk site, is $26 per person for Johnson County residents or $29 for nonresidents. While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend.
