|Country Dance for 50 Plus set for Oct. 22 at Lenexa Community Center|
Strap on your boots to line dance, two step, and boogie during a country homecoming dance being planned in late October by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
Country Dance is the name of this program, which promises a boot scootin’ good time. Mike Riley will keep us rockin’ and groovin’ all night long. Starting at 7:30, an instructor will be teaching country line dancing, and this will be a perfect time to learn new steps. Refreshments are included, and don’t miss out on a chance for door prizes.
To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 Plus and then under special events. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords "social event."
This Country Dance will begin at 7 p.m. at the Lenexa Community Center, 13420 Oak, Lenexa. The cost for this two-hour event is $10 per person. For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. Click here to register online at www.jcprd.com.
While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call the 50 Plus Department at (913) 826-3030 for space availability.
The JCPRD's Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
