|Dino O'Dell concert on Sept. 28 is first in new series of Kid-Friendly Musical Performances at Johnson County Museum|
Fun, music, and movement are in store when the Johnson County Museum presents a series of four Kid-Friendly Musical Performances beginning in late September. Because the Johnson County Museum is closed from Sept. 4 until May 2017 in preparation for the opening of the new Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center in the former King Louie Building, these programs will take place at the Mill Creek Activity Center, 6518 Vista Drive, Shawnee.
Kid-Friendly Musical Performances are designed for ages two through ten with an adult and will all take place beginning at 10 a.m. on the last Wednesday of each month from September through December. The cost for each one-hour program is $3 per person, and museum members are free.
Individual walk-in participations are welcome, if space is available, but groups of ten or more must preregister. Space at these performances is limited and tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance reservations are strongly recommended and can be obtained by calling (913) 715-2575. A maximum of three children are allowed per adult.
The first of these performances is Dino O'Dell on Wednesday, Sept. 28. Come enjoy Dino’s unique blend of folk-rock and reggae! Whether he is counting monsters, fixing spaceships, or swimming in peanut butter, Dino's interactive songs and tall tales stir the imagination, inspire curiosity, and engage the whole child.
Other entries in the Kid-Friendly Musical Performances include: The Rockin' Rob Show on Oct. 26, Janie Next Door on Nov. 30; and Doo-Dad Mike on Dec. 28.
The Johnson County Museum is a department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
