|Next storytelling program at Johnson County Museum is Aug. 17|
The next session of entertaining and educational stories involving nature, history, culture, and art being presented by local Storyteller Jo Ho as part of a storytelling series being offered by the Johnson County Museum is set for late July.
Titled simply Jo Ho, Storyteller, this series of stand-alone programs is for ages three to five. These programs take place beginning at 10 a.m. on the third Wednesday of the month at the Johnson County Museum, located at 6305 Lackman Road, Shawnee. The cost for each one-hour program is $2 per person, including adults, and museum members are free.
The last program in the spring/summer series is called Perky Tales from the Picnic Basket and will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 17. Participants are invited to spread a blanket, relax and enjoy a mainstay of silly songs and stories to celebrate this fun summer excursion, the picnic.
Individual walk-in participations are welcome if space is available, but groups of ten or more must preregister. Individuals and groups can preregister by calling (913) 715-2575.
The Johnson County Museum is a department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
