|50 Plus presents Dinner and Ice Cream Social Event on July 21 at Cedar Lake Village|
Did you know there is a National Ice Cream Day? Celebrate this little-known holiday during a new special event being presented in late July by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
The event is called Dinner and Ice Cream Social and will take place at Cedar Lake Village senior living community of Olathe. After a summer supper, participants can build their own sundae with all the fixings. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 Plus and then under special events. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords “social event.”
This event will take place beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, at Cedar Lake Village, 15325 South Lone Elm Road, Olathe. The cost for this two-hour event is $8 per person. Please register for this event by July 12.
For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online at www.jcprd.com, click on the green “Register for Activities” button and complete a barcode search for 34264.
While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call the 50 Plus Department at (913) 826-3030 for space availability.
Printed copies of JCPRD’s Activities catalog are available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
