|New season of Storybook Club for ages two through five with a parent begins May 5 at RPCC|
A new season of a monthly storytime program which allows parents to share special times with their little one is being offered beginning in early May by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
This drop in program is called Storybook Club and is for ages two through six with an adult. Each meeting will include a theme for the stories, as well as songs, arts and crafts, toy time, and a morning snack. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under preschool and then under enrichment and special interests. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword "storytime."
This group will meet at 9:30 a.m. on the first Thursday of each month at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood Dr., Roeland Park. The first program will take place on May 5, when the theme is "Things That Go." Other upcoming sessions include: June 2, "Ruff! Ruff! Meow! Meow!," July 7, "Starlight, Starbright," and Aug. 4, "Around Town." The cost for each one-hour program is $3 per child. Preregistration is not required.
Printed copies of JCPRD’s Activities catalog are available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
