|Late April social outing will take 50 Plus participants to Independence|
Travel to Independence, Mo., to visit a local attraction and to each lunch at a true dining destination during a late April social outing being presented by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
This program is called the Vivilore Antique Restaurant and Church Spire in Independence, Mo., social outing. Participants will visit the Community of Christ Temple to see the church's tall spire, and to take a quick tour. Then, the group will have lunch at Vivilore, a charming and unique art and antique shop, voted ‘Best patio in KC!’ Lunch costs are on your own. This trip will leave at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, from Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch, Merriam, and return at approximately 1:30 p.m. that day. The cost is for this four-hour outing, including transportation from Antioch Park, 50 Plus escort, and a tour of the church, is $21 per person. While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend.
