|Join the Easter Bunny’s Extreme Egg Hunt at Antioch Park on March 20!|
The Easter Bunny has taken the traditional egg hunt to the extreme this year for a special event for all ages being planned one week before Easter by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District. Preregistration for this event is required by March 14.
The event is called Easter Bunny’s Extreme Egg Hunt, and is for all ages. In this egg hunt, the only way to find prize-filled eggs is with a GPS (Global Positioning Systems) unit! The event begins at Antioch Park's Shelter #3. Each family will receive a GPS unit to use for the event, as well as instructions on how to use the device to find hidden eggs scattered throughout the park. After finding all the eggs, participants will return back to the shelter for lunch and pictures with the Easter Bunny!
To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under fun for all and then under special events. In the printed catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword "geocaching."
The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 20, in Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch, Merriam. The cost for this two-hour event is $10 per person for Johnson County residents or $11 per person for nonresidents. A family rate for up to four people is $27 for Johnson County residents or $30 for nonresidents. To register online at www.jcprd.com, follow the "Register for Activities" link and complete a barcode search for 31857.
Printed copies of JCPRD’s Activities catalog are available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
