|Afternoon Tea Party for 50 Plus is Feb. 5 at Mill Creek Activity Center|
Delight in dainty sandwiches, wonderful tea, and scrumptious crumpets during an Afternoon Tea Party being planned in early February by the 50 Plus department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
Gloves, hats, and fun formal wear are recommended for this event, which is now in its second year. Participants are invited to bring their own special tea cup and saucer so partiers can compare and chat about their treasures while enjoying an afternoon of great company, food, and fun. Musical entertainment will be provided.
The Afternoon Tea Party event will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, at the Mill Creek Activity Center, 6518 Vista Dr., Shawnee. The cost for this two-hour event is $10 per person.
