A Snowman Splash Bash event for all ages is being planned for Dec. 23 at the Roeland Park Community Center and the dome-covered Roeland Park Aquatic Center, both located in the complex at4850 Rosewood Drive, Roeland Park.
This fun family day is being presented by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District will combine two seasons in one! Beginning at 10 a.m., participants will meet at the community center to build marshmallow snowmen, create "magic potions," and assemble a crystal necklace. A lunch consisting of turkey wraps and macaroni and cheese will follow. Around noon, participants will venture across the parking lot to the aquatic center to hit the warm waters of the dome-covered pool. This program will take place beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23. The cost for one three-hour event, including craft projects and lunch, is $7 per person for ages three and older, and free for children two and under.
