Get into the holiday spirit during a matinee concert by the Kansas City Symphony and Chorus during a late-December day trip being offered by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
Christmas Festival at Kauffman Center is the name of this trip. Participants will attend the Dec. 19 concert and enjoy easy and excellent views from their center mezzanine seats in Helzberg Hall. Hear cherished carols, heartwarming songs, and familiar sing-along tunes. Special guest singers will perform and Santa will make an early appearance. This annual favorite fills quickly, so get your tickets early.

Participants will depart from Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch, Merriam, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, and return at approximately 5:30 p.m. that day. The cost is $89 per person and does not include a meal.
