|Next Foodie Fridays program for 50 Plus set for Dec. 18|
Stroud's Restaurant is the next destination in the Foodie Fridays program being presented by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
This program lets participants try a new restaurant each month with a fun and active group of friends for dinner on the third Friday of each month. Participants meet at Antioch Park. Transportation to and from the restaurant is provided, and participants are responsible for the cost of food and drinks on their own. Diners can come to one outing or as many as they'd like! Please call (913) 826-3160 for more information or to register.
To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 Plus and then under special events. In the printed catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords “Social Outing.”
The outing to Stroud's will take place beginning at 5 p.m. on Dec. 18. The cost for one two-and-one-half-hour outing with transportation is $10 per person. For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online at www.jcprd.com, click on the green “Register for Activities” button and complete a barcode search for 29914.
A new season of Foodie Fridays is set to begin in mid-January. Upcoming restaurant destinations and dates include: Jack Stack/Crossroads (barcode 31956), Nick & Jakes (barcode 31957), Pour House (barcode 31958), and Gojo (barcode 31959).
While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call the 50 Plus Department at (913) 826-3030 for space availability.
Printed copies of JCPRD’s Activities catalog are available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
