|New Mommy-Baby Yoga class offered beginning Jan. 31|
New moms are invited to come move your body, bond with your baby, and connect with other moms during a new program being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District beginning in late January.
The program is called Mommy-Baby Yoga and is for ages 18 and older and babies from six weeks to crawling. Participants will incorporate babies into the yoga poses and connect with them through breath and loving touch. Moms will get a chance to stretch their sore muscles and regain strength and flexibility through a yoga class tailored to your needs. No yoga experience is required and sleepy/hungry/fussy babies are welcome. This class is a great way for you and baby to get out of the house and meet other moms in a positive, encouraging environment.
To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under adult and then under fitness & health. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword “yoga.”
This program will take place at 12:30 p.m. Thursday beginning Jan. 31 at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood, Roeland Park. The cost for six 60-minute sessions is $41 for Johnson County residents or $45 per person for nonresidents.
