|New Introduction to Vegetarian/Vegan Substitutes Seminar is Jan. 29|
If giving up meat, dairy, and other animal products seems like an overwhelming task, a new seminar being presented by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District can help.
Introduction to Vegetarian/Vegan Substitutes is the name of this program, which is for ages 16 and older. This program will introduce participants to how delicious and nutritious vegetarian and vegan cuisine can be. Come sample a variety of substitutes for milk, cheese, meat, and more so you don't have to wander aimlessly at the store. Recipes are included.

This class will take place beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Roeland park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood, Roeland Park. The cost for one 90-minute sessions is $20 per person for Johnson County residents or $22 for nonresidents. This program will be repeated on April 9 at the Mill Creek Activity Center, 6518 Vista Drive, Shawnee.
