New Winter Bash for ages 6-12 is Dec. 27 & 28 at RPCC
POSTED: 12/05/2012

Children ages six to 12 are invited to spend two fun-filled no-school days at the Roeland Park Community Center through a new program being planned by the Children's Services Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.

The program is called Winter Bash and will take place on Thursday, Dec. 27, and Friday, Dec. 28. These two days will be packed with art activities, group games, hands-on learning, and more! Participants will even get to swim at the dome-covered Roeland Park Aquatic Center across the parking lot in the afternoon. Be sure to bring a swimsuit, towel, sack lunch, and water bottle daily. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under youth and then under childcare. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword “childcare.”

This program will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but for the convenience of working parents, supervision will be provided from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Winter Bash will take place at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood, Roeland Park. The cost for two eight-hour sessions is $70 per child for Johnson County residents or $77 per child for nonresidents.

The JCPRD’s Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches. For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online and for updated program listings, see the District’s website at www.jcprd.com.
