|Tellabration 2015 Set for Nov. 21 At Ernie Miller Nature Center|
Want to hear a good story? Come celebrate the International Day of Storytelling at the Ernie Miller Nature Center. This year's event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 21. The cost for this one-hour event is $3 per person, including adults, paid at the site.
Beginning at 10:30 a.m., participants can hear stories with live animals. The stories will combine the themes of environmental awareness and ancient myths that will delight, entertain, and involve audiences of all ages. Live animals will be on hand as the stories are being told. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under fun for all and then under special events. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword "storytelling."
The cost is $3 per person, including adults. Please register in advance by calling (913) 764-7759. The Ernie Miller Nature Center is located at 909 N. Kansas-7 Highway, Olathe and is owned and operated by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
This program is also eligible for credit in the Social dimension for the JCPRD U holistic wellness program for participants ages three to 18.
