|50 Plus presents a Mexican Fiesta on Nov. 16 at Cedar Lake Village|
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in November during a new special event being planned by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
The event is called Mexican Fiesta and will involve a taco bar and sombrero scavenger hunt. Cedar Lake Village senior living community of Olathe is opening their doors for a special dinner in their beautiful dining room. But don't just eat and run, as we have fun activities planned both during and after dinner. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 Plus and then under special events. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords "social event."
This event will take place on Monday, Nov. 16 at Cedar Lake Village, 15325 South Lone Elm Road, Olathe. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. The cost for this two-hour event is $6 per person.
For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online at www.jcprd.com, click on the green "Register for Activities" button and complete a barcode search for 29664.
While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call the 50 Plus Department at (913) 826-3030 for space availability.
