"The Main Event" for 50 Plus set for Nov. 7 at Lenexa Community Center
POSTED: 10/15/2015

Be sure to bring your luck to a new special event being planned by in early November the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.

The Main Event is the name of this program. Participants will enjoy an evening of fun, food, and friendly competition as we transform the Lenexa Community Center into Monte Carlo. Guests will be treated to a BBQ dinner before they participate and test their luck at trivia and a variety of games, including blackjack and bingo. It will be a truly entertaining evening for all! To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 Plus and then under special events. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords "social event."

The Main Event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Lenexa Community Center, 13420 Oak, Lenexa. The cost for this three-hour event, including dinner, is $21 per person. For more information, call (913) 826-2859. To register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online at www.jcprd.com, click on the green "Register for Activities" button and complete a barcode search for 29665.

While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call the 50 Plus Department at (913) 826-3030 for space availability.

The JCPRD's Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
