|Oct. 30 is deadline for 50 Plus holiday trip to Branson|
Oct. 30 is the deadline for a holiday regional trip to Branson, Mo., being offered by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District. The actual trip is set for Dec. 1 through 3.
Branson for the Holidays is the name of this trip, which will take place Dec. 1 through 3. Travelers will get into the holiday spirit with this motorcoach trip, which includes a two-night stay at the Hilton at Branson Landing. The group will visit The Shepherd of the Hills for a favorite program called “Christmas on the Trail” featuring heartwarming carols sung by the campfire. While there, travelers will enjoy rib-sticking food served in a warm barn at the chuckwagon dinner show. Then grab a hot cocoa and holiday treats for a drive through the Trail of Lights, where participants will experience glittering displays and animated scenes set to music. We'll also ride glass elevators up Inspiration Tower for a Santa’s eye view of the lights. Travelers can spend time at Branson Landing for holiday shopping, dining, dancing, or just relaxing by the musical fountains. We'll take an entertaining lunch cruise on Table Rock Lake aboard the Showboat Branson Belle. After dinner at Florentina’s Italian Restaurant, the group will see the spectacular show SIX, where participants will enjoy the vocals of six brothers performing an amazing orchestra of human voices. Finally, travelers will enjoy a show by Yakov Smirnoff, the popular Russian-born comedian who will have visitors chuckling all the way home.
