|New Sunflower Craft Social event for all ages planned on July 22 in Overland Park|
Bring your children and grandchildren to celebrate the state flower of Kansas, the sunflower, during a new special event being planned by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
The event is called Sunflower Craft Social and is for all ages. At this event, both children and adults will complete their own sunflower craft keepsakes while enjoying light refreshments on the patio. One lucky participant will win a bouquet of giant sunflowers. In case of inclement weather, this event will be moved indoors.
To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under fun for all and then under special events. In the printed catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords “family fun.”
