New Easter Egg Hunt event is April 2 at Antioch Park
POSTED: 03/11/2015

Grab your basket and head to Antioch Park for a new twist on the traditional Easter Egg Hunt during a new special event for all ages being presented by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District in early April.

For this Easter Egg Hunt, Antioch Park will be divided into two different scavenger hunts. One area will be designated for egg hunting for ages four to seven. Ages eight and up will walk along the park's one-mile trail to different egg drop areas where each hunter will be responsible for finding specific eggs. Each hunter will be guaranteed at least a dozen eggs. All participants must have a guardian in attendance.

To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under Fun for All and then under special events. In the printed catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords “holiday event.”

This event will take place beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 2 at Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch. Merriam. The cost for one two-hour event is $8 per child for Johnson County residents or $9 per child for nonresidents. March 31 is the registration deadline for this event. For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online at www.jcprd.com, follow the “Register for Activities” link and complete a barcode search for 26461.

This program is also eligible for credit in the Social dimension for the new JCPRD U holistic wellness program for participants ages three to 18. Participants can complete Achievement Classes (similar to academic grade levels) and earn Achievement Badges and awards. To register for JCPRD U, contact Sarah Shaw at (913) 826-2953 or at sarah.shaw@jocogov.org.

Printed copies of JCPRD’s Activities catalog are available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
