|Sixth annual Sno-Ball Softball Tourney for adults set for Jan. 24|
Wednesday, Jan. 21, is the deadline for teams to register for the Sno-Ball Softball Tourney, which will take place on Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Johnson County Park & Recreation District's Mid-America Sports Complex.
Now in its sixth year, this Sno-Ball Softball Tourney is for recreational and intermediate teams made up of players ages 18 and older. A hallmark of the event, which usually draws about eight teams, is that if it snows, play will take place in the snow as none of it will be removed from the ball fields. But don't worry, even if it is 50 degrees with sunshine, like it was on tournament day in 2013, the event will go on. The format is a three-game guaranteed tournament. Winners will receive shirts and discounts on upcoming leagues.
