|Enjoy interacting with other scrapbookers during Scrapbook Crop session set on Jan. 17|
Do you enjoy scrapbooking, but feel you could benefit from spending time enjoying your hobby with others who enjoy your hobby? A program being presented by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District can help.
The program is called Scrapbook Crop and is the modern-day equivalent of quilting bees of the past. Participants ages 16 and older are invited to gather their scrapbooking tools to join other scrappers for a day of uninterrupted social interaction, artistic inspiration, and friendly collaboration. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under adult and then under enrichment & special interests. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword “crafts.”
This class will take place starting at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood Drive, Roeland Park. The cost for one eight-hour session is $11 for Johnson County residents or $12 for nonresidents.
For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online at www.jcprd.com, follow the “Register for Activities” link and complete a barcode search for 26344. Printed copies of JCPRD’s Activities catalog are available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
This program is also eligible for credit in the Social dimension for our new JCPRD U holistic wellness program for participants ages three to 18. Participants can complete Activities Classes (similar to academic grade levels) and earn Activities Badges and awards. To register for JCPRD U, contact Sarah Shaw at (913) 826-2953 or at email@example.com.
