Friday, Dec. 5, is the registration deadline for a Pickleball Tournament being presented in early December by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
This event will take place beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, at the Jewish Community Center, 5801 W. 115th St., Overland Park. This second annual tournament will present awards for divisions in men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. Players are responsible for refereeing their own games.
Pickleball is a cross between tennis, badminton, and table tennis played on a court with two players per side who use a wiffleball and paddles. To enter, players must be 50 by the registration deadline. Divisional awards will be presented for men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
