|Enjoy interacting with other scrapbookers during new Scrapbook Crop session set on Nov. 15|
Do you enjoy scrapbooking, but feel you could benefit from spending time enjoying your hobby with others who enjoy your hobby? A new program being presented by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District can help.
The program is called Scrapbook Crop and is the modern-day equivalent of quilting bees of the past. Participants ages 16 and older are invited to gather their scrapbooking tools to join other scrappers for a day of uninterrupted social interaction, artistic inspiration, and friendly collaboration. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under adult and then under enrichment & special interests. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword "crafts."
This class will take place starting at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood Drive, Roeland Park. The cost for one eight-hour session is $11 for Johnson County residents or $12 for nonresidents. Another Scrapbook Crop session is set for Dec. 20.
The JCPRD Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches. For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online and for updated program listings, see the district's website at www.jcprd.com.
