Trick-or-Cache program planned at Antioch Park on Oct. 25
POSTED: 10/01/2014
Experience Trick-or-Cache this Halloween through a program being offered by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District in late October.

Trick-or-Cache is the name of the Halloween-themed program, which is for all ages. Participant will learn to use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver to track a cache in a fun relaxed environment. GPS units will be provided on this modern-day scavenger hunt for Halloween treats. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under fun for all and then under special events. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword “geocaching.”

Trick-or-Cache will take place beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Shelter #2 at Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch Road, Merriam. The cost for one two-hour outing is $10 per person for Johnson County residents or $11 per person for nonresidents. A family rate for up to four people is also offered at a cost of $27 for Johnson County residents or $30 for nonresidents. The preregistration deadline for this program is Oct. 17.

The JCPRD's Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches. For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online and for updated program listings, see the District's website at
