|Love in the Afternoon programs for 50 Plus to feature great music and cuisine on Oct. 3 & 7|
A lunch program featuring fine cuisine and exceptional music is being offered twice in early October by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District's 50 Plus Department.
The event is called Love in the Afternoon. All programs begin at noon. The first program will take place on Friday, Oct. 3, at the Lenexa Baptist Church, 15320 W. 87th St. Parkway, Lenexa, while another will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Colonial Presbyterian Church, 9500 Wornall, Kansas City, Mo.

The cost for each two-hour program, including lunch and a show, is $15 per ticket, and must be purchased in advance by calling Shawnee Heartland Assisted Living at (913) 248-6688. Additional Love in the Afternoon programs are scheduled for Dec. 2 at Colonial Presbyterian and Dec. 11 at Lenexa Baptist.
