|Patriot Golf Days are Aug. 29-Sept. 1 at Heritage Park and Tomahawk Hills|
Golfers who come to Johnson County Park & Recreation District golf courses on the weekend of Aug. 29 through Sept. 1 will be asked to consider giving a donation to help ensure the future of families of wounded or fallen soldiers.
This will be the eighth year the courses join in the nationwide observation of Patriot Golf Days. All proceeds from donations will go to The Folds of Honor Foundation, which awards scholarships to spouses or dependents of military members who have been seriously disabled or killed during military service. This event began in 2007 and was hugely successful, raising more than $1.1 million from 3,200 golf facilities nationwide. More than $2,000 has been collected during previous events at the local courses alone.
