|Siri Lindley Cancels appearance at Shawnee Mission Medical Center triathlon|
Retired Professional Triathlete Siri Lindley recently contacted Johnson County Park and Recreation District officials to cancel her planned appearance at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center Triathlon on July 13.
The 33-year-old Boulder, Colo., resident was called to Edmundton, Canada, to attend an ITU World Cup event where she will conduct preliminary interviews as part of a contractual agreement with NBC Sports under which she will host a program called Lifetime Fitness in August.
Local officials said Lindley is assisting in helping them find a suitable replacement for the July 13 event and they are hopeful she will be able to attend a future event here as well.
The Shawnee Mission Triathlon is presented by Shawnee Mission Medical Center and is sponsored by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District. The event will take place beginning at 7 a.m. at Shawnee Mission Park, 7900 Renner Road, Shawnee and Lenexa.
