|Tenth Annual Feed the Need Golf Tournament To Take Place June 20 at Heritage Park Golf Course|
Spaces are still available for participation in the Tenth Annual Feed the Need Golf Tournament which will take place on Friday, June 20 at the Heritage Park Golf Course, 16445 Lackman Road, Olathe. June 7 is the entry deadline for this event.
For the second year, Johnson County Public Works and the Johnson County Park and Recreation District have teamed up to present this event, which benefits the metropolitan-wide Feed the Need Food Drive. The 2002 event raised more than $10,000 which was used to buy food, clothing, and school supplies for individuals in the community. This year, organizers have set a fund-raising goal of $15,000.
Tournament check-in will take place between 7 and 7:30 a.m. and participants are invited to come early and take advantage of the "all-you-can-smack" driving range to help get warmed up. The event will begin with a shotgun start and will use four-man scramble rules. Approximately 144 participants are anticipated.
The registration fee is $75 per person or $300 per team. In addition to greens fees, cart rental, and unlimited range balls, the registration fees include a grilled lunch, on-course beverages, and registration gifts. There will also be opportunities to win great prizes, including a new car. For more information or to register for the tournament, call (913) 715-8364.
