Fall Fun Series for ages 4 & 5 at continues on Nov. 10 at Ernie Miller Nature Center
POSTED: 10/24/2012
Young children can learn about the first thanksgiving when the Winter Fun Series continues in early November at the Johnson County Park & Recreation District's Ernie Miller Nature Center, 909 North Kansas 7 Highway, Olathe.

The Winter Fun Series is for ages four and five. These programs are meant as an opportunity for participants to enjoy nature during the chilly season. Your child will have fun while learning about natural and cultural concepts from a park naturalist. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under preschool and then under nature & outdoors. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword “preschool .”

The First Thanksgiving will take place on Nov. 10 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Participants will meet Patience, a Pilgrim who will teach them about the Mayflower, the native Americans, and the trying times of Plymouth. The cost for one 90-minute session is $12 per person for Johnson County residents or $14 for nonresidents.

This is the last of three programs in the Fall Funs series.

The JCPRD's Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches. For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online and for updated program listings, see the District's website at
