|87th Lane Access to Mill Creek Streamway trail to be limited for road improvements|
A road improvement project to 87th Lane being undertaken soon by the city of Lenexa is expected to limit access to the 87th Lane access point of the Gary L. Haller Trail in the Mill Creek Streamway Park for about a month, Johnson County Park & Recreation District officials announced.
The project, which is expected to begin in late October, will intermittently close 87th Lane to through traffic between 87th Street and Woodland Drive throughout November. The project will involve placing a two-inch overlay over the entire road. The road will be closed to through traffic during the construction project.
Alternative access to the Haller trail can be gained through Lenexa's Craig's Crossing Park at 9151 Woodland, through which pedestrians and bicyclists can use the Little Mill Creek Trail to get to the Haller trail.
