|Flu Shot Clinic offered on Oct. 19 at Roeland Park Community Center|
Help prevent the flu by participating in a flu shot clinic in late October being offered by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
This contagious respiratory illness is caused by influenza viruses and can cause mild to severe illness and occasionally death. Stop by this local clinic being put on by the American Red Cross to make sure you are protected against the flu this winter. Individual payments of $30 are accepted at the door, or a number of primary insurance plans are accepted, including: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, Coventry/Advantra, Medicare Part B, and Railroad Medicare. The clinic is offered from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
