|Senior Fest event is Oct. 25 at the Ritz Charles|
Join us for a fun-filled senior festival and learn more about what our community has to offer you when the Johnson County Park & Recreation District's 50 Plus Department presents this event for a second year in late October.
The event is called Senior Fest and will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ritz Charles, 9000 W. 137th St., Overland Park. Admission is free and participants can visit with area businesses, enjoy live local entertainment, play bingo, and have a chance to win door prizes. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 Plus and then under special events. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword “expo.”
While the JCPRD's 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call the District's Registration Department at (913) 831-3359, and if space is available without forfeiting the place of a person over 50, their registration can be taken.
For more information about this event, call (913) 831-3355. The JCPRD's Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches. For updated program listings, visit the District's website at www.jcprd.com.
