|Flu Shot Clinic offered on Sept. 14 and Oct. 19 at Roeland Park Community Center|
Help prevent the flu by participating in one of two flu shot clinics being offered by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District in September and October.
This contagious respiratory illness is caused by influenza viruses and can cause mild to severe illness and occasionally death. Experts say the best way to prevent the flu is be getting a flu vaccination each year. Stop by this local clinic being put on by the American Red Cross to make sure you are protected against the flu this winter.
Individual payments of $30 are accepted at the door, or a number of primary insurance plans are accepted, including: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, Coventry/Advantra, Medicare Part B, and Railroad Medicare.
The clinics will take place at RPCC from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 14 and Oct 19.
