|Keeping Safe on Walking Trails Program set for Sept. 9|
The program, which is for all ages, is called Keeping Safe on Walking Trails and will be presented by a member of the Johnson County Park Police. Participants will not only learn where all the trails are, but what to do if they encounter a threatening person on the trail and how to get help if they suffer a fall or other injury. Attendees will receive a Johnson County Trail Guide. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 Plus and then under nature & outdoors. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords "outdoor safety.”
This program will take place on Monday, Sept. 10 at the Matt Ross Community Center, 8101 Marty, Overland Park. While the program is free, participants are asked to register by Sept. 4 by calling (913) 642-6410.
