|Music classes offered for ages 5-7 and grades 4-6 at MCAC beginning June 26|
The classes are: Found Sounds and Fun Songs, and the Science of Sound and Making Music. For either class, the cost for six 90-minute sessions is $40 for Johnson County residents or $44 for nonresidents. Neither class will meet on July 3. In Found Sounds and Fun Songs, participants ages five through seven will use everyday items to make sounds and sing fun songs. Each week will have a different theme young musicians will use to play and learn from. This class will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday beginning June 26 at the Mill Creek Activity Center.
In the Science of Sound and Making Music, participants in grades four through six will using songs, make music, and have fun considering the question "can any sound be made into music?" Part of the class will involve listening to everyday sounds for the tones and tunes of music. This class will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday beginning June 26 at the Mill Creek Activity Center.
