|Antioch Park to host Summertime Arts & Craft Show and Turkey Creek Festival|
Other festival activities will include: a Lion’s Club pancake feed from 7 to 11 a.m., the Turkey Creek Festival 5K Run, a petting zoo, pedal boat rides, free youth activities, specialty food vendors, and giant air structures and inflatables.
The Summertime Arts & Craft Show is set from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will showcase unique handmade goods such as pottery, jewelry, children’s clothing and blankets, home décor, garden art, and more.
“The Turkey Creek Festival is a wonderful tradition for the city of Merriam and it offers activities for all ages and interests,” said JCPRD Fine Arts Coordinator Sarah Lenahan. "We’re excited to once again host The Summertime Arts and Craft portion of the festival, which gives families a chance to spend a day together in the park and support the work and creativity of small-business owners in the Midwest.”
Arts and crafts entries are still being accepted through May 11. For an entry form or more information, visit the Summertime Arts & Crafts page at www.jcprd.com, or contact Fine Arts Coordinator Sarah Lenahan at firstname.lastname@example.org or (913) 826-3163.
