Golf courses launch new website at jcprdgolf.com
POSTED: 05/01/2012

A recently-launched website makes it easier for area golfers to get information about and keep up with happenings at the Johnson County Park & Recreation District’s two golf courses.

“Our new website at jcprdgolf.com is dedicated to the golf courses we own and operate, Heritage Park and Tomahawk Hills,” JCPRD Superintendent of Parks and Golf Courses Bill Maasen said. “We’re excited about it because it’s a dynamic website that provides golfers a convenient connection to our staff and golf facilities.”

“Our new website is more interactive with the general public and it also has all the information from the two courses that you could need,” added Heritage Park Golf Pro Rob Wilkin.

Visitors to the site can learn more about the golf courses, including opportunities for private or group lessons, league availability and standings, and a calendar showing everything from tournaments to aerification days and other planned maintenance which could impact play. Visitors can also submit requests for tee times at least seven days in advance.

In exchange for registering at the site and providing some basic information including email, name and address, site users can receive regular emails about happenings at the two courses as well as access to web-exclusive special offers.

“We’re planning some specials and incentives which should make it well worth golfers’ effort to sign up,” Maasen said.

The jcprdgolf.com site was launched in mid-March in association with third-party vendor CourseTrends, which administrates golf websites for more than 1,000 facilities in 48 states and seven countries.

Tomahawk Hills Golf Course is located at 17501 Midland Dr. in Shawnee, while Heritage Park Golf Course is located at 16447 Constance in Olathe.
