50 Plus plans Poker Walk and Picnic at Kill Creek Park on May 19
POSTED: 04/25/2012

This event is will take place on May 19 at Kill Creek Park, 11670 Homestead Lane, Olathe. In addition to a Poker Walk during which participants with the best and worst poker hands will win prizes, there will be demonstrations of a variety of 50 Plus fitness classes during lunch. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 plus and then under special events. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords “special event.”

This program will begin at 10 a.m. at Kill Creek Park. The cost for this four-hour outing is $15 per person. Preregistration is required by May 11.

While the JCPRD's 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call the District's Registration Department at (913) 831-3359, and if space is available without forfeiting the place of a person over 50, their registration can be taken.

The JCPRD's Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches. For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online and for updated program listings, visit the District's website at www.jcprd.com.
