Free fitness classes and tours offered at Mill Creek Activity Center April 23-28

The Mill Creek Activity Center will offer free previews of adult fitness classes, giving the public an opportunity to participate in classes before they sign up. After the abbreviated classes instructors will be on hand to answer any questions about the class or to discuss participant’s fitness goals. All classes are for ages 18 and older.

Below is a list of the free offerings. For class details please go to www.jcprd.com. To save your spot in one or more of these classes please call (913) 826-2950. Tours of the facility are also available upon request.

Monday April 23: Power Pump at 12 p.m., Weights Class at 1 p.m., Yoga at both 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., and Pilates at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday April 24: Noon Hour Express at 12 p.m., Low Impact Cardio at 1 p.m., and Yoga at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday April 25: Combo Cardio at 5:30 p.m., and Zumba Gold at 6:30 p.m. Thursday April 26: Noon Hour Express at 12 p.m., and the 20/20/20 program at 5:30 p.m. (No sampling classes on Friday, April 27.) Saturday April 28: Zumba Combo and Power Pump classes at 8:30 a.m., 20/20/20 at 9:30 a.m., and Pilates at 10:30 a.m.

The Mill Creek Activity Center, formerly the Shawnee Fitness Center, was acquired by district in late 2011. MCAC houses the JCPRD Gymnastics Center and will offer a wide assortment of programs and activities for ages preschool through 50 plus. Programs encourage learning, playing, and socializing in a fun family atmosphere.
