|Enchanted Forest Fairy Fest event planned at Ernie Miller Park on May 3|
Celebrate spring with the wonders of the forest - both real and make believe - during a special event at the Ernie Miller Nature Center in early May.
The May apples will be in bloom and you can see for yourself if the old tales that say fairies gather where the woodland wildflowers grow are true. Enchanted Forest Fairy Fest is the name of this event which is now in its fourth year.
This program is for ages three and older with children accompanied by a parent or guardian. Come discover the hidden world of the wee folk and their friends - birds returning from migration and animals waking from hibernation. Participants are invited to wear their fairy wings and make a wand for the Fairy Parade. Guests can visit activity stations at their leisure. The Fairy Queen will tell stories of magic and mischief with an all-new puppet show with Mother Nature. Live animals, music, and a trip through the wish tree make this an enchanted day to remember!
To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under Fun for All and then under special events. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords “nature & outdoors.”
